Youth Baseball Training Bat

I made this for a friend of mine.  He had one like this when his children were young.  Using plastic golf balls and a 1" diameter bat to help them develop good hand & eye coordination.  He now has young grandkids and wanted to teach them as well.  So I made him one.  It is 28" long and 1" diameter.  Surprisingly, it was harder to turn than I expected.  Really needed a steady rest, but was able to use my hand for support and make light cuts.  Finished with wipe-on poly.
