The Smoky Mountain Woodturners Club is located in Knoxville, TN and is a chapter of the American Association of Woodturners.  The goals of the club are:

  1. To promote interest in all aspects of woodturning for persons of all levels of competence.
  2. To provide information, education and hands-on experience for all members.
  3. To encourage the trading of woods, ideas, tools, etc. among members.
  4. To Explore new methods and techniques for advancing woodturning as a creative craft and a unique art form.
  5.  To encourage membership in, and give support to, the America Association of Woodturners. (

Monthly club meetings will continue to be conducted online using Zoom.  Link information will be sent by email and will be posted in the applicable event posting in the Upcoming Events tab.

Directions for uploading show and tell pictures have been added to the Member's Menu.

Any members who have not paid your 2020 dues, please send your checks directly to our treasurer and NOT the SMWTS P.O.  Box.  Write the check to SMWTS and mail to:  Vic Kaminsky,  412 Karla Drive, Knoxville, TN 37920.  Write SMWTS  under the return address. 

Please continue to make show and tell items as well as Beads of Courage Boxes, Wig Stands, Pens for the Troops and Christmas Ornaments.  If you have completed Beads of Courage Boxes and Wig Stands, please coordinate with Drue Hogland regarding how best to arrange delivery based on the current need that Drue may have for these items.
