March at the Ranch brought sings of Spring.  Our newest students practiced convex & concave curves by turning goblets.  We ran into some punky spalted maple so both the newbies and the first year students got a lesson in how to deal with it.  The 1st year students learned that there is such a thing as a round box.  The turned straight sided “cups” to take back to their houses with them.  The intermediate & advanced groups turned pepper mills.   They were offered a choice of mini, midi & regular sized mills.   Results were awesome.

On another note, we expect to have “conditioned” air by May.   The Ranch is purchasing a 2-ton mini-split unit and a volunteer group should be able to install it in early May.  Thanks again to SMWT for the donation towards that project.
